Plant Physiology

Lecture - 10 hours
Plant physiology – basics concepts and definitions, history of science discipline. Mineral nutrients in plants - deficiency and excess of various plant nutrients. Water relations in plants. Photosynthesis and environmental conditions. Assimilates transport and respiration. Germination and seedlings growth and development processes. Role of plant hormones. Environmental abiotic and biotic factors and typical plant reaction to stress factor.

Understand biological plant processes on different stages in environment. . Understand ability of using plants in agriculture, industry and environmental protection. Use basic techniques in laboratory work (essential analyses to explain plants metabolism). Prepare to research with using various plant material.
