(in Polish) Plant Molecular Cytogenetics 320-ERS-1PMCL
Substantive content:
Plant cytogenetics is increasingly becoming an integral part of broadly understood plant biotechnology and plant breeding. Molecular cytogenetic methods such as flow cytometry and in situ hybridization are used in functional and evolutionary genomics, as well as in the study of chromosomal damage. This lecture aims to introduce plant cytogenetics, which encompasses the structure and organization of genetic material, as well as gene manipulation used to create new crop varieties.
1. Definitions and progress in cytogenetics in plant breeding
2. Structure and properties of plant mitotic chromosomes
3. Plant cell cycle
4. Changes in plant chromosome number
5. Techniques in plant cytogenetics
