Learning outcomes
2STA_W01 Knows the methods of statistical description of one-dimensional empirical distribution (measures of central tendency, measures of variability, measures of asymmetry and concentration). E1_W06
2STA_W02 Knows the methods of describing the statistical relationship between two features (construction of a correlation table, measures of stochastic and correlation dependence). E1_W06
2STA_W03 Knows the methods of analyzing the development of the phenomenon over time (measures of dynamics). E1_W06
2STA_U01 Has the ability to choose an appropriate characteristic to describe a selected aspect of the empirical distribution of one feature, the relationship between features and dynamics, and is able to interpret the measures of descriptive statistics. E1_U02
2STA_U02 Has basic data acquisition skills in order to analyze, interpret and forecast specific social processes and phenomena. E1_U02
2STA_K01 Can independently expand the knowledge and skills of descriptive statistics. E1_K06
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the course is the achievement of the assumed learning outcomes.
Candidates who have passed the exercises with a grade of at least 3.0 can take the exam. The exam is written and consists of test questions. The basis for passing the exam is obtaining at least 51% of the maximum number of points. Passing the exercises consists in obtaining at least 51% of the maximum number of points from each part (test and project). Points obtained for active participation in classes are also included in the grade.
Grading scale:
0-50% of points - 2.0
51-60% of points - 3.0
61-70% of points - 3.5
71-80% of points - 4.0
81-90% of points - 4.5
91-100% of points - 5.0
