The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of academic essay writing skills, paragraph content organization, essay structure, and writing with consistency and respect for English grammar and punctuation. KP6_WG9 The student will learn and understand general terminology employed in the description of cultural phenomena significant for language analysis and the analysis of the process of communication (text analysis/interpretation, essay)

The final grade will be based on attendance, active class participation, partial grades, and project and homework assignments prepared by students. Attendance in class is mandatory. One unexcused absence per semester is allowed. Excused absences (e.g. doctor's note) should be shown no later than one week after the absence. In case of longer or prolonging absence (more than two classes) the student is obliged to contact the teacher during this time. |
