Communication theories 340-AG1-3WTK
Classes will be devoted to discussing theoretical bases of communication
theory with particular emphasis on students' own experience and knowledge.
Classes will take the form of mini-lectures with discussion, watching clips from movies, reading poetry and literature, analyzing multimedia presentations, drama, reflection, individual, pair and group work, project work, problem-solving tasks and field work.

Learning outcomes
Is aware of individual differences in communication and social influences on communication
Knows different theories of communication and how personal traits influence the way people communicate and their perception of it.
Knows how to apply the theoretical knowledge of social communication in daily life.
Assessment criteria
Assessment is continuous. Participation in discussion is mandatory for receiving a final grade.
Students will take three written or oral quizzes.
Students obtain points for their learning achievement as shown in: quizzes; engagement with classroom activities; willingness and ability to express opinions, ask relevant questions and form appropriate responses; ability to support peers in executing problem-solving tasks in class.
