Prerequisites (description)

The goal of this course is to present the most important events in the history of Spain which influenced the formation of culture, art and customs of the society. In addition, the geopolitical reality of the Kingdom of Spain will be described, selected autonomous regions of Spain will be characterized. We will also discuss the most important rituals and religious holidays, selected themes from painting, architecture, music, cinema and literature.

KP6_WG9 graduate knows and understands: basic conceptual apparatus for the description of cultural phenomena relevant to the analysis of language and communication process
KP6_WG10 graduate knows and understands: basic conceptual apparatus for the description of cultural phenomena relevant to the analysis of literature of a given language area
KP6_WG11 graduate knows and understands: historical and cultural conditions of a given language area.
KP6_UW4 graduates are able to: conduct a critical analysis and interpretation of various cultural products with the application of philological methods, which enable them to assess their significance in the historical-cultural process,
KP6_UW6 graduates are able to select and use appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technology (ICT).
KP6_UK4 graduate is able to take part in a debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate different opinions and positions and discuss them
KP6_UO1 graduate is able to plan and organize individual and team work

Assessment criteria

Grading: final exam
Mandatory attendance. One unexcused absence is permitted without the need to make up for it during consultations. All other absences (both excused and unexcused) must be counted during consultations. The number of hours of absence qualifying for failure of the course - over 50% (excused hours are not counted).
Regardless of the reason for absence, students are required to achieve all the learning outcomes specified in the study program.
