The student:
KP6_WG1: understands key grammatical phenomena, processes, and systems of the English language as well as relevant theoretical approaches; applies this knowledge in structural and contrastive analysis.
KP6_WG4: knows and uses linguistic terminology and basic methodological tools.
KP6_WG9: is familiar with cultural concepts relevant for analyzing language and communication.
KP6_WK1: identifies and reflects on linguistic and communication-related challenges within contemporary civilization.

Assessment criteria
The course ends with a graded pass. During the semester, students take several tests assessing their knowledge and skills in morphology, syntax, and semantics.
The grading policy is as follows:
60-69=3.0, 70-75=3.5, 76-81=4.0, 82-87=4.5, 88-100=5.0
To earn credit, students need to comply with attendance requirements (a maximum of 2 absences is allowed).
