Learning outcomes
A student who has passed the subject knows and understands:
KP6_WG1 - linguistic phenomena, processes and systems, as well as theories explaining the relationship between them;
KP6_WG4 - general terminology and the basic apparatus of research methodology in linguistics;
KP6_WG9 - basic conceptual apparatus for describing cultural phenomena relevant to the analysis of language and the process of communication;
KP6_WK1 - the problems and challenges of language and communication and their links to the fundamental dilemmas of modern civilization.
Students are able to:
KP6_UW4 - conduct critical analysis and interpretation of various cultural products using philological methods that allow to assess their significance in the historical-cultural process;
KP6_UW6 - select and apply appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technology (ICT);
KP6_UK4 - take part in a debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate different opinions and positions and discuss them;
KP6_UK6 - speak and write a foreign language at the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
KP6_UO1 - plan and organize individual and team work;
KP6_UU1 - independently plan and implement their own lifelong learning.
A student who has passed the subject is ready to:
KP6_KK1 - critically evaluate his/her knowledge;
KP6_KK2 - recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems;
KP6_KO3 - consciously cherish the cultural heritage of the region, country and Europe;
KP6_KO4 - to create planes of tolerance and cooperation in the conditions of multicultural communication and religiously diverse society;
KP6_KO5 - to participate in cultural life in its various forms.
Assessment criteria
Credit at the end of the winter and summer semesters in the form of an evaluation.
Written and oral examination after the second semester.
The prerequisite for admission to the exam (summer examination session) is to obtain a passing grade in the winter and summer semesters.
