Learning outcomes
KP6_WK1 The student knows and understands the problems and challenges related to the English language as a tool of communication in the social sphere in the context of the dilemmas of contemporary civilisation. Verification method: test, written assignment;
KP6_UW1 Students are able to formulate and solve lexical and grammatical problems in speaking and writing, selecting adequate methods and tools, including textbooks and dictionaries to verify lexical and grammatical correctness. Verification method: assessment of student activity during classes, oral and written assignment;
KP6_UK3 The student is able to participate in a debate in English on topics concerning education, technology, media, arts and work. Verification method: assessment of student activity during class;
KP6_UK4 Aiming at the final level C1, the student is able to use spoken and written English at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, including the ability to understand written and oral statements; expresses his/her thoughts in verbal communication with a certain degree of fluency and spontaneity; produces clear, detailed texts generally correct in terms of spelling, grammar, lexis. Verification method: test and oral and written assignment;
KP6_UO1 The student is able to plan and organise individual work, systematically developing his/her language skills and cooperating with others in solving practical tasks. Verification method : project work, assessment of student's activity during classes;
KP6_UU1 Students plan and realise their own lifelong learning of English. Verification method: project work, assessment of student's activity during classes;
KP6_KK1 The student is ready to critically evaluate received content on education, technology, media, arts and work. He/she is able to express himself/herself in a clear and detailed way on these topics, express an opinion on related, often contradictory, problems. Verification method: assessment of student activity during classes;
KP6_KK2 The student is ready to recognise the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems while solving practical tasks in English Verification method: assessment of student's activity during classes.
Assessment criteria
Courses within the Practical English Language Learning (PNJA) module – Graded Credit (according to the information in Syllabus B).
The PNJA cycle concludes with a written and oral exam.
Grading Scale:
5 = 91% - 100%
4+ = 81% - 90%
4 = 71% - 80%
3+ = 61% - 70%
3 = 51% - 60%
