Research methods in linguistics 340-AR1-3MBJ
Students are familiarised with the main methods and research procedures used in linguistics, with an emphasis currently used in language description. The seminar aims to improve students' ability to understand research texts which exemplify the methods discussed as well as to take a critical stance concerning the choice made by the authors of those texts. The course also involves carrying out a small-scale study and writing a report on it.
