Intruduction to Literary Studies 340-AS1-1ILS
The course introduces basic terms and concepts from the fields of narratology, rhetorical figures and figural language in order to prepare the students of literary/cultural studies to deepen their interpretative skills in the domain of literature. The lectures will also review some of the theories of literature such as feminism, psychoanalysis, eco-criticism or gender studies.

Learning outcomes
Having completed the course, the students know basic terms related to narratology and figural language, and are able to practically use this knowledge in the interpretation of literary works.

A written test at the end of the semester.

Students are allowed to be absent once during a term. Students whose number of unexcused absences is more than twice per semester are obliged to get credit for the material covered during the classes he/she was absent on.
