Total student workload: 100 hours, including: participation in exercises: 60 hrs (2.4 ECTS); preparation for classes, credit/examination: 25 hrs (1 ECTS).; participation in consultations 14 hrs(0.56 ECTS); examination 1 hr (0.04 ECTS).
Quantitative indicators: student workload related to activities requiring direct participation of the teacher: 60+15=75 hours , which corresponds to 3 pts. ECTS and student workload that does not require direct participation of the teacher: 25 hours (1 ECTS).

Prerequisites (description)

The goal of the course is to develop the ability to actively use a foreign language in everyday communication situations, as well as the ability to understand and apply basic concepts of the humanities. Learning Russian at A2 level (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking, writing).

Learning outcomes

A student who has passed the subject knows and understands:
KP6_ WG1 - linguistic phenomena, processes and systems, as well as theories explaining the relationship between them;
KP6_WG4 - general terminology and the basic apparatus of research methodology in linguistics;
KP6_ WG9 - basic conceptual apparatus for describing cultural phenomena relevant to the analysis of language and the communication process;
KP6_ WK1 - the problems and challenges of language and communication and their links to the fundamental dilemmas of modern civilization.
Students are able to:
KP6_UW6 - select and apply appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technology (ICT);
KP6_UO1 - plan and organize individual and team work;
KP6_UU1 - independently plan and implement their own lifelong learning;
KP6_UK4 - take part in a debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate different opinions and positions and discuss them;
KP6_UK6 - speak and write a foreign language at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
A student who has passed the subject is ready to:
KP6_KK1 - critically evaluate the knowledge they have;
KP6_KK2 - recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems.

Assessment criteria

Credit at the end of the winter and summer semesters in the form of an evaluation.
Exam after the second semester.
In order to be admitted to the exam (summer exam session), it is necessary to obtain credit in the winter and summer semesters.
