1. Student can define main research types used in applied linguistics
2. Student can describe basic research instruments used in SLA research

3. Student can diagnose a problem discussed in research and can demonstrate a reflective approach towards its quality
4. Student can present a sample procedure of running SLA research
5. Student can design research questions and prepare a simple research instrument for his own needs

6. Student can work in teams, support others in overcoming difficulties when choosing the topic of their research

Assessment criteria
Didactic methods:
Reading and interpreting articles related to the topic of the course. Discussions, pair and group-work, text analysis and interpretation, designing simple research instrument for student-run research.
