Didactic methods - Conversation lecture, discussion, paper on the progress and results of the student's work (e.g. collected bibliography, research material, conclusions). The condition for passing is the final editing and submission of the thesis.

The purpose of the seminar is to prepare students to write an undergraduate thesis in the field of literary studies. Students will be introduced to the expectations and requirements for the thesis, as well as possible lines of research in order to, following discussion and reflection, choose the most appropriate topic, and then write and submit the thesis. The seminar is devoted to the study of American and African-American prose of the 20th and 21st centuries and the cultural issues presented in it. Students, having chosen a topic for their undergraduate thesis, analyze selected novels that illustrate a historical or cultural issue. Basic course content: |
