Learning outcomes
1.Students know basic concepts, terminology and methodology in language pragmatics.
2.Students possess extended knowledge on cultural influences governing politeness and ways of expressing speech acts in various languages (mainly English and Polish)
3. Students are able to identify and analyze differences in implementing various speech acts in Polish and English.
4. Students are able to demonstrate the significance of cultural differences (e.g. referring to the concept of politeness) in cross-cultural communication.
5. Students can work in a group: perform tasks, participate in discussion
