The graduate knows and understands:
KP7_WG2, in-depth understanding of complex literary phenomena and processes in a given language area and contemporary theories explaining their cultural foundations and the interrelationships

KP7_WG7, advanced methods of text analysis and interpretation within selected literary traditions and theories

The graduate is able to:
KP7_UW1, formulate and solve complex and unusual problems by innovatively selecting appropriate methods and tools using knowledge from linguistics or literary studies
KP7_UW2, conduct an in-depth analysis and interpretation of literary texts using philological methods that allow for the assessment of their significance in the process historical and cultural
KP7_UW6, appropriately select sources and information derived from them in the field of literary studies, and evaluate, critically analyze, and synthesize this information
KP7_UK4, use the foreign language of interest in speaking and writing at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages

Assessment criteria
In the first year, students are expected two submit two written works: (1) a review of literature concerning a research topic of their choice, (2) approximately half of one of the chapters of their work. During the second year, they are expected to complete their MA work.
