Upon completion of the course, the student:

- uses basic research skills, including analysis and interpretation of phenomena in the culture of the United States - K_U04
- knows how to independently deepen knowledge and develop research competencies, following the guidance of the instructor - K_U03
- prepares oral presentations in English on specific issues, referring to basic theoretical approaches, using various sources - K_U11
- has the ability to substantively argue on issues related to the problems discussed in class, using the views of the discussed authors, and to formulate conclusions - K_U13
- is aware of the importance of taking into account the cultural context conditioning the system of valuing phenomena in American culture - K_K08
