The graduate knows and understands:
- complex linguistic phenomena and processes, theories explaining the relationships between them and contemporary trends in linguistics KP7_WG1,
- in-depth conceptual framework used to describe cultural phenomena important for the analysis of language and the communication process KP7_WG9,
- advanced conceptual apparatus in the field of information technologies KP7_WG12,
- problems and challenges related to language and communication and their complex connections with the fundamental dilemmas of modern civilization KP7_WK1,
- complex legal, organizational and ethical conditions of activities related to a given qualification KP7_WK2,
- principles of protection of industrial property and copyright KP7_WK3
The graduate is able to:
- select and use appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication techniques (ICT) KP7_UW5,
- conduct a debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate various opinions and positions and discuss them KP7_UK4,
- use a second foreign language in speech and writing at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages KP7_UK6,

Assessment criteria
Credit after the first semester based on positive grades for all written and oral work (written tests, presentations, essays), activity in classes (oral statements, discussions during classes) and attendance.
Absences:
The student (at the first class attended after the absence) is obliged to justify the absence and arrange with the instructor a date for passing the content covered during the classes in which he was unable to participate.
In order to obtain credit for the course (in case of absences below 30%), the student is obliged to count the absences during the consultation.
One absence is allowed without the need to make up work.
A student does not receive credit for missing more than 30% of classes.
