1. Introduction. Basics of information technology and computer use. Physical resources of the computer. Software. Security and data protection. Copyright.
2) Creating and editing documents - text formatting (advanced font and paragraph operations; setting margins, bulleted and numbered paragraphs, header and footer, tabs).
3) Creating and editing documents (keyboard shortcuts; blocking text using the mouse and keyboard; bullets, numbering and multi-level outlines; borders and edge shading; data sorting; language options and hyphenation; find/replace function; mail merge).
4) Tables, inserting graphics and auto shapes. Use of footnotes; automatic table of contents; entry index; reviewing and commenting; hyperlinks: inserting, deleting, modifying bookmarks and hyperlinks.
5) Technical standards for bachelor's theses. Working on the text.
6) Sources of information for the humanist. Bibliographic databases. Database. Scientific catalogues. Central catalogues. Integrated access to information. Literary databases, e.g. BazHum, Polish Humanistic Literature - ARTON, Polish Literary Bibliography. BN databases. Virtual Science Library. Projects: Polish Scientific Bibliography; Polonium; SYNATE; databases of scientific works.
