Assessment criteria
The student earns credit and the right to take an exam in Practical French 2 on the basis of:
- tests (the student must score at least 55% in every test and is allowed a single attempt to improve their final mark)
- attendance and participation in the course (a maximum of 2 absences plus an additional excused absence are allowed, such absence must be made up for by the student during a meeting with the teacher in a manner decided by the teacher; exceeding this limit of absences may result in failing the course and forfeiting the right to take the exam in Practical French 2
- quizzes
The final mark is based on the average calculated on the basis of tests and quizzes as well as attendance.
Failure to make up for exceeding the limit of absences within 2 weeks results in having the final mark lowered by 0.5
The grading policy is as follows:
3.0 at least 55%
3.5 at least 63%
4.0 at least 71%
4.5 at least 79%
5.0 at least 87%
