Prerequisites (description)
The aim of PNJN classes (from level A2) is to improve language competence in all skills and subsystems of the German language in order to achieve language proficiency at level C1 defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages corresponding to this level (Polish edition of CEFR and Profile Deutsch). PNJN classes of 240 hours (first year), 180 hours (second year) and 120 hours (third year) are intended to enable students to acquire language competences in four basic areas of skills: listening with understanding, reading with understanding, speaking and writing. An important role here is played by, among others: perfecting the skills formulating free oral and written statements combined with presenting arguments while maintaining a transparent structure of statements, active participation in the discussion, interaction (so-called linguistic response), paraphrasing, expressing one's own views and their defense in discussions on issues covered in a given year of study. When working on improving both oral and written communication skills, a key role is played by students' mastery of the necessary vocabulary, grammatical, phonetic and spelling knowledge. The range of difficulty of materials and exercises is adjusted to the level
appropriate for a given year of study.
