Learning outcomes
The student knows and understands:
KA7_WG1: Complex pragmatic phenomena and processes, theories explaining the relationships between them, and contemporary trends in linguistic pragmatics.
KA7_WG4: Advanced terminology and an extensive methodological framework for research in linguistic pragmatics.
KA7_WG7: Advanced methods of analyzing and interpreting texts from the English-speaking area within pragmatic theories, particularly in the field of intercultural pragmatics.
The student is able to:
KA7_UW1: Formulate and solve complex and unconventional problems by innovatively selecting appropriate methods and tools using knowledge of intercultural pragmatics.
KA7_UW6: Properly select sources and information from them in the field of intercultural pragmatics and conduct evaluation, critical analysis, and synthesis of this information.
KA7_UK1: Communicate with diverse audiences using specialized terminology in pragmatics while considering socio-cultural elements.
The student is prepared to:
KA7_KK2: Recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems.
KA7_KO4: Foster tolerance and cooperation in multicultural and religiously diverse communication settings.
Assessment criteria
Passing grade (practical classes), written exam (lecture). A positive grade in the practical classes is required to be eligible for the exam.
