Prior knowledge/skills required: fundamentals about linguistics, ability to collect and analyse linguistic data, plus essential academic skills.

Requirements and assessment criteria:
1. attendance (2 absences are allowed); and participation in classes (preparing homework assignments and other projects)
2. preparation of a short exercise based on the material covered in class OR:
3. preparation of a critical analysis of phonetic exercises from selected sources
4. final test on the material covered during the course (the passing score is 51%)

The cases of students who are not able to write tests for health reasons will be considered individually.
