Learning outcomes
A student who has passed the subject knows and understands:
KP7_WG1 complex linguistic phenomena and processes, theories explaining the relationships between them, and contemporary trends in linguistics;
KP7_WG2 complex phenomena and processes related to language learning and teaching, theories explaining the relationships between them, and contemporary trends in theories about language learning and acquisition;
KP7_WG4 advanced terminology and extensive apparatus of research methodology in linguistics;
KP7_WG5 advanced terminology and extensive apparatus of research methodology in theories of language learning and teaching;
KP7_WG7 advanced methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and other cultural products of a given language area within selected traditions and theories and linguistics.
Students are able to:
KP7_UW2 formulate and solve complex and unusual problems, innovatively selecting appropriate methods and tools using knowledge of the science of language learning and teaching;
KP7_UW5 select and apply appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technology (ICT);
KP7_UW6 appropriately select sources and information from them in the field of linguistics
and evaluate, critically analyze and synthesize this information;
KP7_UK1 communicate with diverse audiences using specialized terminology in the field of linguistics and translation studies, taking into account socio-cultural elements;
KP7_UK2 communicate with diverse audiences using specialized terminology in linguistics and translation studies, taking into account socio-cultural elements;
KP7_UK4 debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate different opinions and positions and discuss them;
KP7_UK5 use a directional foreign language in speech and writing at the level of at least C1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
KP7_UU1 independently plan and implement their own lifelong learning and guide others in this regard.
A student who has passed the subject is ready to:
KP7_KK2 recognize the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems.
