The aim of the course is to make the learner familiar with the types and forms of business letters (both simple and complex) and to show how they are used in communicative real-life situations. The student also learns practical skills of managing business and commercial letters in Russian.

1. General structure and features of a formal letter.
2. Simple letters ( typical expressions and phrases) - a reminder, a request, an invitation, a thank-you letter, a cover letter, etc.
3. Complex letters – an enquiry, an offer, a complaint.
4. A CV, a motivation letter.

Term 2022:
Students may have one unexcused absence per semester. The other missed classes must be passed during the tutor`s office hours. Missing more than 30% of classes results in failing to get credit for the semester. |
