A student who has passed the subject knows and understands:
- works, literary phenomena and processes, as well as theories explaining their cultural background and relationships KA6_WG3,
- methods of analysis and interpretation of texts within selected traditions and theories of literary studies KA6_WG8,
- basic conceptual apparatus for describing cultural phenomena relevant to the analysis of the literature of a given language area KA6_WG10,
- Legal, organizational and ethical conditions of activities related to a given qualification KA6_WK2,
-principles of industrial property and copyright protection KA6_WK3,
Students are able to:
- carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of literary texts with the application of philological methods allowing to assess their significance in the historical-cultural process KA6_UW3,
- carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of various cultural products with the application of philological methods enabling to assess their significance in the historical-cultural process KA6_UW4
- analyze typical philosophical problems relevant to the humanities KA6_UW5
- select and apply appropriate methods and tools, including advanced information and communication technology (ICT) KA6_UW6,
- appropriately select sources and information from them in the field of literary studies and evaluate, critically analyze and synthesize this information KA6_UW8,,
- communicate using specialized terminology in the field of literary studies including socio-cultural elements KA6_UK3,
- take part in a debate in a foreign language, present and evaluate different opinions and positions and discuss them KA6_UK4,
- plan and organize individual work and work in a team KA6_UO1,
- independently plan and implement their own lifelong learning KA6_UU1,
The student is ready to:

Assessment criteria
Forms of course credit:
Pass/fail, undergraduate examination.
Credit of semester V on the basis of a prepared work plan with bibliography, collected research material and the first chapter of the thesis.
Credit for semester VI on the basis of the submitted bachelor's thesis.
Undergraduate examination.
