Assessment criteria
Credit after the first and second semester. A grade is given based on the grades of written assignments (dictations, grammar tests, text summaries, sentence translations) and oral statements obtained during the semester, taking into account systematic and active participation in classes. Examination (written and oral) in the summer session after the second semester. Three-part written exam: dictation, grammar test, text summary. A student may take the exam after obtaining a credit for classes. In order to get a credit, the student must obtain a positive grade in all control works, homework and oral statements that are due during the semester. A student may have six unexcused absences per semester. The remaining absences must be made up during consultations. 60 hours of absence from classes will qualify to fail the course.
