Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to:
- describe the history of the Russian language as a language system and communication tool (KA6_WG1, KA6_WG2, KA6_WG4, KA6_WG9);
- use the basic notions of the history of language and formulate statements on historical and linguistic issues (KA6_WG4, KA6_UK4, KA6_UW1);
- analyze Old Russian texts as products of culture (KA6_WG9, KA6_UW1, KA6_WG7, KA6_UW2, KA6_UW7);
- interpret contemporary linguistic phenomena taking into account the historical background (KA6_WG5, KA6_WK1, KA6_UK4);
- search for, analyze, select and use information, taking into account various sources and methods (KA6_UW7, KA6_UO1);
- make people aware of the need to constantly observe the language in terms of its changes (KA6_UU1, KA6_KK1, KA6_KK2).
Assessment criteria
Teaching methods: expository method (elements of a lecture conducted with the use of Power Point presentations, explanation), practical activities, problem solving tasks (activation).
Requirements for obtaining a credit for the course: active participation in classes; written tasks and text analysis at the end of the course cycle. One absence is allowed; students who are absent more than once are required to pass the material covered in these classes during the tutor`s office hours. The number of absences qualifying for failing the course: 10.
Final form of verification of learning outcomes: getting a credit (analysis of phonetic and morphological phenomena of the Old Russian language documented in selected texts).
Form of classes - mixed (lectures - online, classes - in the classroom).
