Civil Procedure 370-PS5-4ERACX

Knowledge, the graduate knows and understands:
- KP7_WG3 has in-depth knowledge of the principles and institutions in the field of court procedure; verification methods: discussion, solving cases, preparing presentations
- KP7_WK3 knows and understands the terminology appropriate for civil procedure; verification methods: discussion, solving cases, preparing presentations

Skills, the graduate is able to:
- KP7_UW1 is able to correctly interpret and explain the meanings of specific legal norms and the mutual relations between these norms
within the framework of civil procedure; verification methods: discussion, solving cases, preparing presentations
- KP7_UO1 efficiently navigates the Polish legal system, uses the norms of civil procedure to independently solve specific problems; depending on their own interests (selected specialization subjects), has advanced skills in solving complex practical problems in the field of civil procedure; verification methods: discussion, solving cases, preparing presentations

Social competences, the graduate is ready to:
- KP7_KK2 is able to independently and critically supplement knowledge and skills, extended by an interdisciplinary dimension; verification methods: discussion, solving cases, preparing presentations

Attendance; assessment of class activity, engagement in conversation; assessment of prepared essays, assessment of activity in e-learning classes.

Attendance is mandatory, with a maximum of two absences, and students are required to make up for any missed material by submitting an oral presentation. Students may have up to 20% of their absences. The remaining absences must be made up within two weeks. Failure to make up an absence may result in the lecturer not allowing the student to take the course exam.

Written assessment (essay on a selected topic). Grading scale: 2 to 5.

Regarding the use of AI in the educational process:

a) it is permitted when preparing the final essay,

b) it is permitted as part of the tasks performed during tutorials, only in the following areas:
- linguistic and stylistic proofreading of text,
- searching and organizing scientific sources.

Students may use AI systems in the preparation of final essays and multimedia presentations only to the extent and under the terms specified in Order No. 31 of the Rector of the University of Białystok of April 11, 2025, regarding the use of artificial intelligence systems in the educational process at the University of Białystok. The use of AI does not relieve the student of responsibility for the accuracy of the information and data used in the work.

Depending on applicable regulations, the assessment may be conducted remotely.
