The aim of the subject "Contemporary trends in pedagogy" is to familiarize students with the main trends and development tendencies in contemporary pedagogical theory and practice. The subject includes an analysis of current educational problems in the context of social, cultural, technological and global changes. Students will learn about both classical and the latest pedagogical approaches, including critical, postmodern, constructivist, feminist, intercultural and inclusive education. The thematic scope of the subject includes the following content: Overview of the main trends in pedagogy of the 20th and 21st centuries; Critical and emancipatory; Postmodernism in education; Constructivist pedagogy; Intercultural and global pedagogy; Education for sustainable development; Feminist and gender pedagogy; Inclusiveness and special education; The impact of technology and digitalization on teaching processes; Directions of development of pedagogy in the light of scientific research
