Computer tools 390-FS1-1NKO
ECTS: 4
Principles for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI):
1. AI is allowed to be used in class as a support tool (not a replacement) for: clarifying difficult issues, analyzing errors in code, obtaining code optimization suggestions, seeking inspiration for solutions.
(2) Problem solving in the first place should be independent, only in case of difficulties is the use of AI allowed.
3) It is imperative to verify the AI's answers - we always check the generated code or algorithm and make sure we understand how it works.
4. if in the task or project we use the help of AI, we indicate this in the documentation (for example, a comment in the code: “Generated using AI (which one) - transformed and adapted”).
5 It is forbidden to use AI for: cheating (e.g., generating work in its entirety), copying ready-made solutions to tasks without understanding, circumventing the rules of academic honesty and during the course credit (independent work).

Type of course
Learning outcomes
KP6_UK5 - the student is able to critically analyze the results of measurements, observations or theoretical calculations together with a quantitative assessment of the accuracy of the results
KP6_KK4 - the student is ready to improve professional and personal competences.
KP6_KO1 - the student is ready to appropriately define priorities for the implementation of tasks defined by himself or others
Assessment criteria
A final grade is based on:
1. what a student knows about the discussed computer tools
2. how a student can apply computer tools to given problems
3. how a student can discuss about the computer tools
4. how a student can use literature and the Internet
5. how a student is creative in solving probles
Students must attend to laboratory lessons. It is allowed to skip three lessons. Final grade results from homeworks, short tests during a few selected lessons, and final test.
To complete the lecture a final exam must be passed.
