Prerequisites (description)
(in Polish) The aim of this course will be to introduce the most important contexts related to the tension between colonialism and post-colonialism in theoretical discourses on population displacement, vernacular culture, social marginalization, racial problems, orientalism and exoticism. The issues discussed during these classes will oscillate around the transformations of experience, representation, transcultural aesthetics, subaltern studies, migration aesthetics, decolonial aesthetics. We will undertake the search for case studies to reflect selected theoretical issues through practical illustrations in visual arts and film.
