(in Polish) Politics, Economy and Society of Contemporary India 490-ERS-PES
The objective of this course is to offer an introduction to the most important aspects of contemporary politics, economy, and society of the Republic of India. The primary focus will be on politics: describing the political system of India, including the federal structure and electoral mechanism, main challenges in domestic politics, as well as New Delhi’s foreign policy objectives. Beyond the above, the course will also cover the key processes taking place in Indian economy and society, as well as some of the nation’s security-related challenges.

The lecture ends with a test.
A student may miss no more than two classes without justification. Missing more than two classes results in a student being assigned a short paper to write (and submit via e-mail) on one of the subjects that will be later covered in the final test.
