Blended learning

The aim of this elective course is to introduce the Korean Peninsula in its historical, social, and cultural dimensions. The program takes participants from the legendary beginnings and ancient kingdoms, through dynasties, traditions, customs, and philosophical systems, to the development of literature, art, and language. Special attention will be given to contemporary phenomena of popular culture such as Hallyu, K-pop, Korean cinema, and webtoons, which co-create the global image of South Korea. The course seeks to show how Korea’s rich past and cultural heritage shape today’s society and its influence on the world.
