Teaching Methods:
• Informative lectures using multimedia presentations and activating methods, allowing students to ask questions and participate in discussions.
• Exercises using activating methods engaging students in independent and group work and discussions: solving tasks and tests, joint discussion of topics, problem-based methods, educational discussions.
• Problem-based methods, educational discussions, and solving tasks and tests during individual consultations according to the lecturer's consultation schedule depending on the student's needs.
Lecture Topics:
1. Introduction to investment issues.
2. Basics of investment efficiency calculation.
3. Financing investment activities and the cost of capital.
4. Selected static and dynamic methods of assessing the efficiency of investment projects.
Exercise Topics:
1. Calculation of present and future value of funds and streams under simple and compound interest conditions.
2. Calculation of the cost of capital in an enterprise and estimating the discount rate - practical tasks.
3. Calculation of loan repayment installments using various methods.
4. Application of simple (static) and discounted (dynamic) methods in the process of assessing investment efficiency - practical tasks.

Assessment criteria
The general conditions are specified in the Regulations of the University of Białystok (Appendix to the Announcement No. 6/2022 of the Rector of the University of Białystok dated December 7, 2022).
Lecture:
• The condition for passing the lecture is achieving the intended learning outcomes. The form of verification is a written exam.
• To pass, a minimum of 51% of the total possible points must be obtained.
Exercises:
• The condition for passing the exercises is achieving the intended learning outcomes. The form of verification - written tests and active participation during classes.
• To pass, a minimum of 51% of the total possible points must be obtained.
Depending on the applicable regulations, the possibility of conducting the final exam using electronic communication means is reserved.
