o clearly indicates the trends of Polish cinematography and is able to present them in the context of European cinematography
o critically analyses and interprets the movie’s form and content

o The student is able to discuss national memory, trauma, and their presentation of works of art
o is able to appreciate the complexity of film’s symbolism and can interpret it in relation to values such as freedom, equality, fraternity
o can identify and discuss philosophical questions in the movies

o appreciates the need to learn and collaborate with others
o can set measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely goals and ways to achieve them in the context of academic, professional, and social activity

Kryteria oceniania
Students must attend classes, actively participate in discussions, and write a research paper of ca. 2500 words. The grade will be based on the paper 50%. Students should clear their topic with the instructor before writing.
