The aim of the course, delivered in the form of a lecture, is to familiarise doctoral students with selected issues concerning the scientific project carried out in their dissertation. The lecture is illustrated with multimedia materials, presentations, charts, diagrams.

1. theoretical background as well as general and detailed issues enabling revision of the existing paradigms in the field of exact
and natural sciences (SD_WG01);
2. current scientific achievements within one’s specialisation

achievements of physical sciences (SD_WG03);
4. principles of methodology in physical sciences as well as research methods and techniques applied in physic (SD_WG04),
Graduates is able to
1. draw conclusions based on the confrontation of common literature with the results of their own research (SD_UW03);
2. individually plan a self-development process (SD_UU01).
Assessment criteria
Oral or written exam. The oral examination would consist of a discussion of three issues drawn from a pre-prepared list of issues. The written exam consists of a few numerical/analytical problems to solve. Form of credit to be agreed with students.
