- acquires advanced subject and methodological knowledge concerning the latest achievements in condensed matter physics and their applications;
- gains detailed knowledge of specific research problems and their solving;
- learns research methods and techniques used in condensed matter and
- acquires skills in the field of modern teaching methods and techniques;
- has the ability to transfer the acquired knowledge
and
- can formulate conclusions and present and justify their position in English;
- can argue in a scientific discussion.

Assessment criteria
Grade obtained for the seminar presentation 0.5, prepared work 0.5; an active participation in seminars may enhance the grade (by one point at the most).
