Analytical Chemistry II 310-ERS-2CHA2E
The lecture (15h) aims to familiarize students with the theoretical foundations of classical methods of quantitative chemical analysis. Classical methods of determination (weight and volume) and separation of the analyzed components are discussed. The limitations of the application of these methods, types of errors and their influence on the results of determinations as well as the role of the statistical evaluation of the obtained results are indicated.
Laboratory classes (75h) are devoted to the practical introduction of students to selected methods of classical quantitative analysis and some methods of instrumental analysis (potentiometry, spectrophotometry). Attention is paid to the development of laboratory work skills, the accuracy of the analyzes performed and the method of presenting the obtained results.
Seminar (15 h) is devoted to the presentation of measurement results and chemical calculations related to titration methods: preparation and adjustment of standard solutions, calculation of individual points of the titration curve and analysis results.

Learning outcomes:
1. Characterizes classic and selected instrumental methods of quantitative analysis and has the ability to perform analytical determinations by using these methods (KP6_WG1, KP6_WG2; KP6_WG6)
2. Performs calculations based on the titration results, records them correctly and marks points on the acid-base, precipitation, redoximetric and complexometric titration curves (KP6_UW1).
3. Uses measuring glass, analytical balance and spectrophotometer when performing analyzes (KP6_UW3).
4. Presents a written report on the performed determinations (KP6_UW4).
5. Works in accordance with the health and safety rules in force in the laboratory (KP6_UO1).
Kryteria oceniania
