It is expected that students possess basic linguistic knowledge which they acquired in previous years of study and which is associated with the subject matter of the course titled The Recent Trends in Linguistics.

Assessment criteria
Credit on the basis of the attendance, active participation during classes, and a final test. Students are allowed to be absent once during the whole course. Students whose number of unexcused absences is more than once per course, are obliged to get credit for the material covered during the classes he/she was absent on.
