Initial requirements:
It is expected that students possess basic linguistic knowledge which they acquired in previous years of study and which is associated with the subject matter of the course titled The Recent Trends in Linguistics.
The number of didactic hours: 15hrs (practical classes)
Teaching methodologies: conversatorial lectures, discussions, exercises.

KNOWLEDGE, the graduate knows and understands:
KP6_WG1 phenomena, processes and language systems and theories explaining the relationships between them
KP6_WG4 general terminology and the basic apparatus of research methodology in the field of linguistics
KP6_WG6 methods of analysis and interpretation of texts and other cultural products of a given language area within
selected traditions and theories and linguistics
SKILLS, the graduate is able to:
KP6_UW4 conduct critical analysis and interpretation of various cultural products using philological methods that allow for assessing their significance in the historical and cultural process
KP6_ UW7 properly select sources and information derived from them in the field of linguistics and assess,
critically analyze and synthesize this information
KP6_ UK4 participate in a debate in a foreign language, present and assess different opinions and positions and discuss them
SOCIAL COMPETENCES, the graduate is ready to:
KP6_KK1 critically assessment of existing knowledge
Assessment criteria
Credit on the basis of attendance, active participation during classes, and a final research project. Students are allowed to be absent once during the whole course. Students whose number of unexcused absences is more than once per course, are obliged to get credit for the material covered during the classes he/she was absent on.
